Powered by two independent electric motors, one on each axle, the Double Cabin eTUATARA delivers 25 kW of total output, instant torque, and the signature TUATARA “go anywhere” capability.
At the heart of the Double Cabin eTuatara lies a groundbreaking dual-motor configuration — a 15 kW motor on the rear axle and a 10 kW motor on the front. This innovative layout eliminates the need for a traditional transmission, drive shafts, or differentials, dramatically reducing driveline drag and mechanical complexity.
The result is an even quieter ride, greater efficiency, and lower maintenance costs. Early testing shows that despite its higher power output, the Double Cabin achieves better economy than the single-motor eTuatara 1500E, thanks to its refined traction control and friction-free drivetrain.
Equipped with a 26.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery, the Double Cabin eTuatara delivers an impressive range of up to 160 km on a single charge — depending on terrain, load, and driving conditions.
